The project bags are as great now as they were fifteen years ago. I still have bags from that time and still use them. The only differences between those bags and these new ones are the colors! I love them all.
I found my first two KnowKnit bags years ago at a small yarn boutique and fell in love with them, although I was unaware of who made them. I have used those bags ever since and they still look as if they were brand new. I wanted more bags to contain and separate different projects, but I never expected to find more of the jeweled colored bags that I have loved so much over the years. One night I was looking at one of my beloved bags and saw (apparently for the first time) a little tag on the side saying KnowKnits.com. I immediately went to the website and snatched up two more jeweled bags. They are equally beautiful. Honestly, if I could and it wouldn’t be weird I’d have everyone of the jeweled bags in every color and size. As it is, I have one large bag for random yarns that do not yet have an assigned project, then the smaller bags are for my individual yarns for specific projects.
I bought my first 2 bags (jeweled blue and a jeweled red) about 10 years ago, one in small and one in large. I loved them both then and love them both more now. They have been dragged all around the country going from state to state, gone on international trips, and generally been treated quite poorly. I certainly have not treated them with care, more like survival of the fittest. I would defy anyone to look at either of them right now and find a thing wrong with either. They both look brand new, as if they had come home from the store today. This is not an exaggeration. They are as beautiful and functional as they were originally. The quality is amazing! I've long wanted additional bags to separate projects, but never knew where to find them. Then while knitting tonight, I realized that there was a sewn-in tag on them, which said "knowknits.com". OMG, I'm such an idiot! I immediately went online and ordered two more bags and know they will give me equal joy.
I think the project bags are the perfect bag—easy to squish into your larger purse and drawstring easy to work with. I wish there could be a clear panel to see what is in it because I have a lot of wips…
Love these bags and have been using them for years... like maybe 8 years? They help me take my knitting to doctor appointments and for travel. Always keep one ready to grab.
